Beats Eating Nothing

I cut the crust off burnt toast; take a knife and scratch the black away. The eggs show their sunny side, but the yolks are broke and bleeding. The bacon is long past crispy. It’s hard, and flaky, and scarcely acceptable, but I hunger ever still. I stir the coffee. It’s gritty, but the grounds will settle. I sit. I eat. I survive.

SWS Weekly Challenge- Write a story based on a witty Facebook or Twitter post

Based on an actual post around the time Osama Bin Laden was killed. When it happened, many were confused because some news stations mixed the two names up and some are just not educated enough to understand. *BTW this is not a stab at Americans, trust me, it happened to Canadians too.*

Side note: If we were using Tumblr posts, we'd see a lot more funny pieces...I might do one for fun, who know's
